Kent Channel - Social Media Academy

Coming soon to the many ambitious business leaders based in East Kent, the Kent Channel Chamber of Commerce in partnership with ZC Social Media is launching a brand new Social Media Academy, to encourage digital growth across all business sectors.

One of the greatest challenges for SMEs is attracting and retaining customers, but it’s becoming more and more evident that social media is the ideal tool for building good relationships with customers. The digital world seems daunting to many entrepreneurs, which is why Kent Channel Chamber and ZC Social Media are keen to demonstrate that social media is not only accessible but an integral part of any successful business.

The Social Media Academy is designed to help business owners – both social media amateurs and those more experienced - to develop their existing knowledge and identify potential areas from growth within their business.  The number of technology start-ups is rapidly increasing across the UK, but the SMEs in East Kent are on a mission to bring the digital world to life, by working collaboratively to conquer social media.

Social media expert and founder of ZC Social Media, Zoe Cairns is hosting the event, which takes place on Monday 19th May from 2 – 4pm at Ramada Hotel, Dover. All active members of the Kent Channel Chamber of Commerce are invited to attend the training academy free of charge, as part of the many exciting networking and training events over the year included in their membership.

Tim Kidd, Chief Executive of the Kent Channel Chamber of Commerce commented on the new Social Media Academy: "The vision behind this event is extremely powerful – bringing entrepreneurs together to get a step ahead by using creative, digital platforms. I’m very excited to be a part of this new opportunity to support our members with any challenges they may face when using social media.

“It’s a great initiative for any business owner, and social media is becoming more popular than ever, with 81 percent of SMEs using social media regularly* – we’re delighted to open up this education and inspiring opportunity for them.”
